Creating a location on Pterodactyl

Step-by-step guide to create and organize a location (geographic area) on your Lordhosting Pterodactyl panel and group your nodes by datacenter.

Before adding nodes to Pterodactyl, you must create a location.
A location allows you to group several nodes under the same location (e.g., Paris, Canada, OVH, etc.).

1. Access the Locations section

  1. Log in to your admin panel (https://votre_panel.fr/admin).
  2. In the side menu, click on Locations.
  3. Then click on Create New in the top right corner.

2. Fill in the information

Short Code

  • Short code to identify the location (example: paris1, ca-mtl, ovh).

Description

  • Optional description, for example: "Servers hosted in Paris via OVH".

The description is especially useful for differentiating between your various data centers or providers.

3. Save

Click Create to save.
Your location is now available to host nodes.

✅ Conclusion

You have created a location that will serve as a logical grouping for your future nodes.
The next step is to create a node and associate it with this location.
